"Developing and Sustaining Practical Approaches for Restorative Practice in Our Work Settings"

Purpose and theme

The purpose of this seminar was the exchange of practice experience and the fostering of a supportive restorative practice community in Scotland. Three broad sectors were covered in seminar groups, namely Prisons, Schools and Youth Justice

The seminar was supported by the following organisations:

Scottish Prison Service

SACRO

Victim Support Scotland

Perth College/UHI Millennium Institute

Criminal Justice Social Work Development Centre

Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research

We are pleased to report that the seminar was a particularly successful event with all places taken, and an informed and participative attendance took full opportunity to make the most of the presentations and workshops. Particularly thanks go to the Governor and Staff at Polmont YOI whose hospitality and interest was appreciated by all.

Details of the three power point presentations can be found below.
